Classics Illustrated are graphic novels retelling the classics of world literature. The Classics Illustrated series is a heritage comic book series which originally ran during the 1940s-1970s. We reproduce and publish fully refreshed editions, breathing new life into the line and making  the greatest works of all time accessible to young readers, while still thrilling older readers who have loving memories of these timeless comic books.

We publish two distinct ranges: Baker Street Readers for children and Baker Street Classics for adult collectors.

Baker Street Readers are high quality hardback retellings of the classics of world literature, giving an enchanting taste of the original tales, quoting best-known lines and most memorable moments, all supported with wonderfully witty (and sometimes scary!) illustrations.

Baker Street Classics are a gorgeous collection of the world’s greatest classics featuring attractive covers with a modern yet traditional design aesthetic. Produced for book lovers by book lovers, each book in this collectible series features a beautifully textured jacket, silky bookmark ribbons and discreet matching head and tail bands, creating a sumptuous matching set on the shelf which no collector could resist.

Real Reads are retellings of the classics of world literature, each fitted into a 64-page book. We make classic stories available to young readers as a bridge to the full texts, to reluctant readers as a gentle introduction to a world of wonderful literature, to language students wanting access to other cultures, and to adult readers who are unlikely ever to read the original versions, or simply don’t have time to!

Three Wishes, founded in 2024, is a new Publisher formed as a joint venture between German Publisher Vemag Medien and Paul Gregory.
